Thanks Dan! I think this might actually be my favorite Payne film to date, as good as The Descendants, About Schmidt, and Election are. I wasn’t near as into Sideways as most others. This feels way more personal to him than any of his previous films.

It’s a slow, small and subdued flick, but it’s the kind we expect from Payne and one that he could literally make for the rest of his life, and I don’t think I’d ever tire of.
